  1. Onyx stone in luxury interior Onyx Stone is gaining popularity as an interior design material for high-end properties in the residential and commercial markets. Onyx is rare, compared to other natural stones, which accounts for its relatively high price. It is also considered a precious natural stone, along with alabaster and lapis lazuli. Its main attraction is translucency, color and natural patterns. The movement makes onyx a unique natural stone and helps to create unique interior styles. Onyx Stone is often highly polished to make it shine. It usually comes in white, yellow (or honey), brown, pink and green. The most popular colors now are white and honey, the latter looks like white onyx with the addition of iron oxides. White onyx is mainly sourced from Persia and honey onyx is mined from Turkey.

  2. Natural onyx patterns form unique and intricate patterns. When lit, the pattern becomes almost three- dimensional. Back onyx bars are popular items in the interior, especially when made with yellow or brown onyx. They are recommended especially for bars and restaurants where the lighting is not always good. However, even in a well-lit room, such panels will stand out. The richness of the pattern is very important. Other popular items associated with proper lighting include lamp bases, table tops, bar brackets, baseboards, window sills and stair treads. Even small things can make a big difference in a room.

  3. Onyx Stone is also used for wall cladding and various masonry projects, including round tubs and vanity units. It looks like marble in this application. In many cases, marble or limestone may be better. Your natural stone supplier should recommend the best materials, taking into account the technical characteristics of different natural stones. It must be said that onyx is a very hard natural stone. A thin onyx panel can be tried as an alternative to stained glass, an advantage due to the translucent properties of onyx.
