Shocking Fact,

In the U.S, there are on average 6,600 residential garage fires each year and this result in 30 deaths, 400 injuries and over $457 million in property loss.

Garage fires in a home typically spread more quickly than fires that originated in other parts of the house. Here are some recommendations from the USFA (US Fire Administration) to help you avoid this happening to you, especially if your home has an attached garage.

  • Oil-soaked rags can burst into flame
  • Oil and gas can drip unnoticed from cars
  • Combustible materials and flammable liquids or gases
