  3. Description El fin de este ensayo autobiográfico es dar a conocer mi experiencia en los terremotos ocurridos en Chile. En los últimos años Santiago y varias Regiones de mi país han sufrido con la irrupción indiscriminada de nuevas construcciones de "mega edificios", "guetos verticales" con el peligro latente que eso conlleva en el país más sísmico del mundo. De acuerdo a los antecedentes recogidos el último terremoto grado 8,8 ocurrido en el año 2010 un edificio se cayó partiéndose en dos provocando la muerte de varias personas y otras quedaron con graves lesiones (Alejandra Jara). Según se indagó algunas inmobiliarias no cumplieron con la norma para construir estos edificios en altura de 20, 30, incluso 40 pisos, donde viven hacinados cientos de personas, en departamentos de muy bajo metraje. Esta gran densidad de personas deteriora el edifico, sin duda es una "trampa mortal" sin protocolos ante un terremoto. Me pregunto con una reflexión de desasosiego ¿Qué pasaría si la tierra tiembla bajo mis pies? ¿Qué pasaría con esas personas que viven en esas ingentes torres?¿Cómo sabemos si estas colosales edificaciones están bien cimentadas para soportar un terremoto? Lo que está claro que en Chile lo que más mata son los edificios cuando ocurre un terremotos. Ahora viene la gran pregunta que todos nos hacemos ¿Cuándo ocurrirá el próximo terremoto?
