FRP, or fiber-reinforced plastic, is a composite material made of a polymer matrix reinforced with fibers. The fibers can be glass, carbon, aramid, or other materials. FRP is known for its high strength-to-weight ratio, durability, and corrosion resistance. When using FRP in structural applications, it's important to consider the following: 1. The type of resin used in the product. There are two main types of resins used in FRP products: thermoset and thermoplastic. Thermoset resins are cured, meaning they harden when heated and cannot be melted or re-shaped once cooled. Thermoplastic resins, on the other hand, can be melted and re- shaped.
