  1. ACHILLES TENDONITIS & STEM CELL THERAPY

  2. WHAT IS ACHILLES TENDINITIS? Achilles tendinitis is when there’s irritation and inflammation in the Achilles tendon, a large tendon that attaches your calf muscles to your heel bone, or calcaneus.

  3. TYPES OF ACHILLES TENDINITIS • Noninsertional Achilles tendinitis • Insertional Achilles tendinitis

  4. CAUSES OF ACHILLES TENDINITIS Achilles tendinitis is caused by repetitive or intense strain on the Achilles tendon, the band of tissue that connects your calf muscles to your heel bone. This tendon is used when you walk, run, jump or push up on your toes.

  5. SYMPTOMS OF ACHILLES TENDINITIS • Pain and stiffness along the Achilles tendon in the morning • Pain along the tendon or back of the heel that worsens with activity • Severe pain the day after exercising • Thickening of the tendon • Bone spur formation (insertional tendinitis) • Swelling that is present all the time and gets worse throughout the day or with activity • Pain on the back of the heal when you wear shoes

  6. PREVENTION • Increase your activity level gradually • Choose your shoes carefully • Stretch daily • Strengthen your calf muscles • Cross-train

  7. STEM CELL THERAPY FOR ACHILLES TENDONITIS Regardless of treatment options, Achilles tendon injuries require a significant amount of time to heal. Stem cell treatment reduces recovery time and has proven successful in restoring motion and eliminating pain.
