It was written between the periods of 400 BCE to 200 CE. It is a spiritual guidance text book for one to read. The word ‘Gita’ means Song and word ‘Bhagavad’ means God, therefore also called “Song of God”. The Bhagavad Gita presents a synthesis of Hindu ideas about the yogic ideals of religion, theistic devotion and salvation. Bhagavad Gita also known as The Gita, is a philosophical poem that focuses mainly on a conversation between the Pandava prince Arjuna and the Beloved Lord Krishna. Between the conflicts and war, Arjun askes for Shri Krishna’s help and advice to overcome Gita, Shri Krishna and Arjun discuss different religious and philosophical issues and along the way, Shri Krishna provides guidance to Arjun to achieve wisdom, devotion, self-realization. From point of view of Bhagavad Gita, to end the samsaric cycle, one has to dissolve their life by using from as much Karma as possible by using Dharma.
