  1. Property in Mumbai with Rooftop Amenities Benefits Everyone

  2. A recent trend among property in Mumbai is the concept of amenities provided on the rooftops of developments. In a city where space is at a premium and single square feet can mean tens of thousands of rupees or even more, rooftop amenities not only save space but also add to the attractiveness and value of the entire development. Builders in Mumbai see the option of creating rooftop amenities as a big win since they need to acquire less space for Mumbai property while at the same time increasing the value of the development. Developments, where rooftops provide an excellent view of the city and the sea, are ideal for rooftop amenities as they are an excellent location for residents to congregate while providing a relaxing environment to residents.

  3. Even as many upcoming projects in Mumbai have planned amenities on their rooftops, some innovative builders in Mumbai are also taking steps to construct such amenities on developments which have been completed years ago and that too at no extra charge. Doing so increases the market value of homes in such developments and the construction of such amenities is welcome by residents. As residents of Mumbai seek a home and an exciting lifestyle they demand amenities which have thus far been found in more upmarket developments. However, due to the high-cost land in Mumbai, developers had been reluctant to acquire additional space on the ground for the purposes of additional amenities. Hence an alternative to having such amenities on the ground is to have them on the rooftops of old and new development in Mumbai. Several upcoming projects in Mumbai have amenities planned on their rooftops as part of the master plan for the developments.

  4. Rooftop amenities may provide features such as organic farming which is in vogue among many of the young residents of Mumbai. While rooftop gardens have been common for some time, gardening and growing one’s own food on rooftops is even more attractive and beneficial. upcoming residential projects in Mumbai with rooftop farming will benefit from activities on the rooftops as gardening is an excellent means of relieving stress. Older residents shall likely benefit most from farming upon rooftops. While the city of Mumbai is known to be short of space which is similar to other comparable cities such as San Francisco and New York, it has been late in adopting the concept of rooftop amenities which are common in the two cities mentioned as well as in many other European cities. Rooftop amenities will even add value to luxury flats in Mumbai, as a matter of fact, a large number of apartments in Mumbai require such amenities not only because land is dear but also because rooftop amenities are easier to maintain than amenities on the ground.

  5. As the population of India grows and it becomes the most populous nation on earth during the latter part of this century there will be an acute shortage of space in many Indian cities. luxury apartments in Mumbai It’s likely that even tier two and tier three cities shall face a paucity of space for residents and many who live in smaller cities today will be unable to recognize their cities in a few decades not just because of changing demographics but also because of better infrastructure in even the remotest corners of the country and also in underdeveloped regions today. Just like the Japanese, we may have to find ways to accommodate the large influx of Indians from the hinterland by building smaller but more functional homes and by providing amenities on rooftops rather than having them on the grounds of developments.
