From its headquarters in the Woodside neighborhood of Queens, New York, Proto Restoration Construction has been renovating the exteriors of buildings in New York City for nearly three decades. Services offered by Proto Restoration Construction include parapet and facade reconstruction, masonry and lintel work, terracotta renovation, caulking, grouting, pointing, and waterproofing. It also repairs and completely replaces exterior structures such as balconies and decks. Over the years, the company has successfully preserved a number of protected landmarks and structures of historical interest. One of the company’s largest and most involved renovation projects took more than eight years to complete. The project spanned a total of 35 high-rise apartment buildings for Co-Op City, a large cooperative housing development in the Bronx that supported approximately 50,000 residents at the time. In full compliance with New York City's Facade Inspection Safety Program, Proto repaired more than 7,000 Co-Op City terraces and more than 4,000 curtain wall leaks.
