Multi Mill is a machine that’s used for wet and dry granulation. These machines have their uses in different types of industries such as pharmaceuticals, drugs, cosmetics, dyestuffs, chemical and R&D. It is used for high-speed granulation, pulverization, mixing, chopping and shredding of wet and dry materials. Some other industries where it is used are detergents, spices, plastics, fertilizers, insecticides and colors. These machines consist of swing beaters that have inbuilt knife, impact blades and scrapper blades. All these blades help in particle size reduction. The material fed to the system goes down to the processing chamber where it moves down through the chamber radially. During its travel, it gets processed by the blades and finally comes out as an output from the bottom chamber. There are various features of a MultiMill. All contact parts can be easily dismantled for cleaning, castors wheels are provided for the mobility of the machine, flame proof electricala motor can be incorporated and many more. The machine needs minimum labor for its operation. Multi mills have proper operating procedure that has to be followed to get best results. The operating procedure steps are as follows:
First, a production person should ensure the cleanliness of production area • Before starting the operation, the production person should get green signal from quality assurance person and get the statuses like batch details, product name and equipment area • Later, the production person should fix the beater assembly • The screen and hopper have to be fixed properly • Set the direction of multi mill and fix the required motor speed • Place a container below discharge port • Use the control panel to switch on the Multi Mill • Check the functioning of the machine in a slow working mode • Switch off the machine after the process is completed • Record everything in the equipment log book
