  1. What is a Fluid Dryer & What are its Advantages?

  2. Fluid bed dryer is used to convert suspensions, solutions and slurries into dry powders. The process takes place with a high speed in a controlled temperature to get maximum efficiency. This machine has its uses in many industries such as pharmaceutical, food, dye stuff, chemical industries and many more. In this dryer the air is made to flow in an upward direction through abed of solid powdered material. The speed of the air is higher than setting rate of particles. The solid particles are blown up and are suspended in the air course. The solid bed is slowly converted into a hot boiling liquid called as fluidized state. The machine comprises of a stainless-steel chamber with a perforated bottom. The material that has to be dried are placed in this chamber called as bowl. The air is heated by the heaters and is later introduced from the bottom of the perforated chamber. This air is passed through filter and passed through the bed of the material. The speed and flow of the air is controlled with fans that are installed inside the fluid bed dryer system. Let us discuss the advantages of using this machine. The rate of drying is much faster with this machine. In the fluidized state, the particles are in direct contact with the air which helps the particles to dry up faster. In case of trays and other conventional drying methods, the drying time is much longer.

  3. This product is highly suitable for heat sensitive products. In industries, some powders and granules lose their basic properties when they are subjected to extreme temperatures. Conventional drying methods are not reliable for drying such products. The modern fluid bed dryer machines are equipped with PLC systems that can be used to control the temperature of the entire process and maintain the quality of the particles. Also, labor cost and requirement are reduced to a great extent with this machine.
