  2. Do you or don’t you? Decide if you want to let your guests in on the Bob Ross theme or if you want to surprise them – and what a happy little surprise that would be!   Setting the Mood For “A Titanium White Christmas”, we suggest that you decorate your party space/dining room with an all-white or mostly-white décor. (The idea here is that room is sort of like a blank, white canvas that will only get more colorful as the night goes on.) Of course, our Bob Ross plates are blue, which makes for a pop of color. It’s amazing how your can mix kitchy and classy elements together for a great look! Set up your table with our Bob Ross tablecloth, your own white tablecloth or do like we did and go sans tablecloth altogether and go with a snowy table runner. Create a tablescape using white elements with maybe a hint of silver here and there. Mix and match with white ornaments that you already have on hand. Add a few happy little trees, a handful of woodland creatures, a star or two and don’t forget the reindeer. ? Join the Party & Save Today! Light up the table with candles or battery-operated lights. You can even spray paint a few branch logs to use as candle risers. 3. A Colorful Playlist Consider creating a playlist of music for the night using holiday songs that feature a color in the title or in the lyrics of a song. We’ve compiled a colorful list for you to inspire you. Remember, kitschy tunes are fun! If your personal playlist is too short, add in a variety of instrumental tunes in-between. “All I Want for Christmas is a Real Good Tan” by Kenny Chesney “Blue Christmas” by Elvis Presley “Blue December” by Hugo Winterhalter and his orchestra “Blue Holiday” by The Shirelles “Blue Lonely Winter” by Jimmy Newman “Blue Winter” by Connie Francis “Carol of the Bells” by Trans-Siberian Orchestra “Cherry Cherry Christmas” by Neil Diamond “Christmas Blues” by Canned Heat “The Christmas Blues” by Dean Martin “Christmas Nights in Blue” by Trans-Siberian Orchestra “Even Santa Gets the Blues” by Marty Stuart “Green Chri$tma$” by Stan Freberg “Greensleeves” by Mannheim Steamroller “The Holly and the Ivy” by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra “Redneck 12 Days of Christmas” by Jeff Foxworthy “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” by Gene Autry “Silver Bells” by Andy Williams “Silver and Gold” by Burl Ives “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby “White is in the Winter Night” by Enya “The White World of Winter” by Bing Crosby “Wrapped in Red” by Kelly Clarkson ? 4. Food Planning You can go all out with a full dinner or just snacks. Here’s some ideas on how we would tackle this party: For a potluck, consider assigning your guests a Bob Ross colored-dish to bring. For instance, “Sap Green” could mean “salad”, “Auzarin Crimson” could mean “lasagna” and “Cadmium Yellow” could mean “garlic bread.” Loose intrepretations are okay! If you are making a full sit-down dinner, consider using those paint colors in the description of your food. You could even post a menu. Colorful suggestions could include a Caprese Salad (with Phthalo Green lettuce leaves, Bright Red tomatoes, Van Dyke Brown balsamic vinegar and fresh Titanium White mozzarella), French Onion Soup (with a deep Dark Sienna beef broth, Cadmium Yellow onions and topped with a crispy, Yellow Ochre toast and Titanium White Swiss cheese) and an entrée (Van Dyke Brown tenderloin with crumbled Prussian Blue cheese). You get the idea. For dessert, give each guest a large, plain sugar cookie square and a palate of colored frostings and brushes to “paint” their own masterpieces. You could even begin the evening with the painting of the cookies and display them on the name tag easels to enjoy while eating the meal. Take a simpler route by offering appetizers and small desserts. Set up a buffet with a palate of colorful vegetables (carrots, celery, radishes) and ranch dressing; a variety of cheeses and crackers, a rainbow of fruit skewers (with bites of strawberries, cantaloupe, pineapple, melon, blueberries and blackberries) mini cheesecakes, brownie bites, Christmas cookies etc. Titanium White and Auzarium Crimson wines are a must. You might even want to go with an all-white theme featuring white chocolate-covered strawberries, Russian tea cake cookies, chocolate crinkle cookies with powdered sugar and white hot chocolate. Entertainment Planning Ideas Now the fun stuff. Create the party that fits your personality. There are no rules. Here are three ideas ? Join the Party & Save Today! that we came up with: Get early access to new arrivals, exclusive deals, and party planning tips The Painting Party delivered straight to your inbox. Plus, enjoy a peek behind the scenes at Bring your guests to the “studio” that has been set up with paint, canvases and brushes. what’s coming next! Don your Bob Ross wigs and fire up a “Joy of Painting” video (many can be found on YouTube for 1 free) and have everyone paint what Bob is painting without pushing the pause button. The idea is to see who can paint fast enough to keep up with Bob. The reveal of everyone's masterpieces at the end of the night is both impressive and hilarious!

  5. The Game Night Party Combine the traditional white elephant gift exchange with bingo for a fun twist on both. Our Bob Ross Bingo Game keeps the theme going with a game that is easy to play for all ages. The winner who shouts out “Bingo!” first, gets their pick of the white elephant gifts. Set up two white boards with dry erase markers back to back and divide your guests into two teams. Begin this race with one member of each team and show them the top word on your list of items that they will need to draw. (For instance, “Happy Little Cloud” could be the first word.) When a team member guesses correctly, they run to you for the next word to draw while the other team continues on until they get it right. Continue through your entire list of words. First time to finish the list is the winning team. Kids and adults will have a great time playing the “Happy Little Trees Ring Toss Game”. Give the person with the highest score a bag of candy! The Cookie Exchange/Decorating Party Ask your guests to bring two dozen favorite, homemade Christmas cookies. For your contribution, give each guest a few plain sugar cookies along with a palate of colored frostings and a brush or “painting” knife to decorate the cookies. Provide a few more treats and hot cider or coffee to enjoy while “painting” away. Pack up a variety of cookies and place in a Bob Ross favor box to take home.   Keeping Kids on the Nice List Waiting for the fun stuff is so difficult for kids. That’s why we offer holiday printables (free with purchase, only available during season) that will work in nicely with your party. Kids can go “Dashing through the Fro” of Bob Ross’ hair, look for nature words in a “Happy Little Word Search” and more.   Bob Ross Paint Colors for Reference: Auzarin Crimson (dark red) Bright Red Cadmium Yellow (bright yellow) Dark Sienna (brown) Indian Yellow (goldish yellow) Midnight Black Mountain Mixture (blue and black) Phthalo Blue (Light blue) Phthalo Green (dark green) Prussian Blue (dark blue) ?
