Sam then took the position of a trial attorney in 2000 on the case of George Cooper Vs., Secretary of Social Services (now Office of Special Counsel), and argued numerous appeal cases on behalf of poor and underserved urban communities. Samuel and his wife Laura have two daughters together; Emily and Sophia. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Samuel earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Stetson College and graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina with honors. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Augusta College School of Law where he is Chairman of the Honor Society.
