  1. 5 Tips for being successful in school School admissions in Gurgaon have been happening in full swing. There is no end to the aspirants for Pragyanam School, a premier CBSE School in Gurgaon. Once the application for enrollment closes and the academic year commences, a cut-throat competition starts between students. So, what is it that sets some students apart from others? What is it that helps them reach the pedestal? Can you be one of them too? If you are anxious about these questions, too, then do read further. 1. Don’t Allow Motivation Override Your Routine One of the most crucial steps to being successful in school is being regular. Alongside academics, there are a plethora of other activities students are engaged in. There is involvement with friends, family, participation in co-curricular activities, and practicing hobbies. Oftentimes, these exciting engagements divert attention from studies, and restoring focus requires time. Therefore, it is essential to dial down the dependence on motivation to complete your academics-associated work. Have a study routine and stick to it, no matter what. Make sure to review the topics you learned in school the same day. It won’t take a lot of time but will definitely contribute towards effective learning. Prepare yourself for the next day before going on to do something else. Once you are habituated with this, you will learn to get your work done even though you don’t feel like it at times. 2. Maintain A Calendar Schools often get hectic due to multiple classes on a single day. It is almost impossible to be precise in your memory when it comes to remembering the tasks assigned in all the classes. The submission and test dates are often scattered across several days of a week or two, making it even more challenging to keep track of. This demands students who aspire to succeed to have an effective reminder system. A weekly calendar is one of the best things you can switch to. Plot it as per your convenience. But having a systematic to-do list with the dates they are due will give you sufficient time to brush up your preparedness and perform efficiently in class.

  2. 3. Do More Than What School Asks Of You The curriculum of the school has been designed to layout a uniform grid for all students to work within. However, to stand out from others, it is crucial to go a step beyond. Often students restrict themselves to homework and studying just for tests, under an obligation. This thus limits their potential. Give extreme importance to self-study. Aside from finishing assignments, dedicate time to actually studying. Make sure to go through a portion that is yet to be taught. Trying to learn in advance contributes to better understanding and long-term memory. Solve questions and explore concepts outside of your prescribed books. Everything you learn is interlinked. This will enable you to project a brilliant interplay of ideas which definitely will make you smarter. 4. Believe In Yourself No one is born intelligent. Willingly trying to be better at something makes us adept at it. So, do not undermine your potential. The more you demean yourself and consider yourself unfit for academics, the more downfall you’ll witness. Know that you can. Once you restore the faith that you are as smart as others, you will experience a spike in motivation to be regular and be at par with others. 5. See Beyond Academics Find your purpose. Be aware that your school is just a means to provide you with enough education you would need to serve society. The ultimate aim is to incorporate your knowledge to do something fruitful and not get straight A’s. So, acknowledge, accept and move on if at times you see your performance dip. Learn from your mistake instead of cribbing about it. Introspect and figure out who you want to be, what you want to do, and how your education is going to help you in that direction. Allowing yourself to expand with the help of the knowledge you accept and finding ways to do it will keep your motivation intact to perform well. It will effortlessly drive you towards the right path instead of bogging you down in the pressure to perform. Remember, success is a relative term. The purpose should be to evolve as a student continuously. Track your performance and make sure that you become a better student in the coming days instead of comparing yourself with others. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Just be punctual, stay honest and see the magic unfold.
