  1. Introduction Clinical psychologists perform the important role of diagnosis and therapeutic treatment of mental health problems. Clinical psychologists are involved in: • Research • Teaching • Supervision • Professional practice • Training program development • Evaluation of current mental health interventions, • Develop and inform public policy for psychological health.

Psychological Assessment and Diagnosis • Assessing a client's needs, abilities or behaviour using a variety of methods (Psychometric tests, interviews and direct observation of behaviour) • Developing and evaluating service provision for clients • Offering therapy and treatments for difficulties relating to mental health issues • Counselling and supporting carer
