You need to carefully evaluate the entire surroundings because you will be living in the place for a long time or maybe forever. In assessing you community, you must investigate local conditions. Relying on your own specific needs and preference, there are some basic factors that can narrow down your choices. This includes property values, traffic, crime rate, future construction and accessibility to schools, employment, hospitals and other recreational areas. Majority prefer to live in a place where in everything is accessible. If you are planning to buy a house but you only have limited resources, it will be better to choose a home that will meet your basic necessities in the community that suits within your budget. If you are rich and famous, you are expected to live in a high class community. While if you belong to middle class, you will most likely be surrounded by ordinary people. When you are canvassing for the right neighborhood, you can spend time checking the place, the front yards, sidewalks, the streets and the people you encounter. You can walk or drive around the area and check the condition of the houses. Try to feel the place if it is livable enough. Can you feel the warmth of the people you see and the serenity of the entire surrounding? Compare all the areas that you have been to and assess if which one seems to be perfectly fit for you and for you family. To help you narrow down the wide variety of choices, go over these strategies as this will give you some ideas on what to look for in a good community. • Find communities that are said to be "hot neighborhoods" in the future. You can find them in the vicinity of the most desirable places. Find for a house in a good community that is a bit distant from the city. If you need to commute, look for a location that is near to public transportation. • Check at the neighborhood demand by referring to the realtor if proposals are made, may it be the variance between the list price and sale price is decreasing, and if there is active community participation. You can as well go around the community and find the number of properties pending for sale and those that are marked as sold. • Consider buying a condo unit or co-op, than a house, in a likable community. In this way, you can still afford to buy in a primary place that is considered to be expensive.

  2. • If you have young kids, a community which is near to their school can be considered a good one. Their school must be accessible enough, you might have a neighbor who drives a carpool then you are assured of the safety and convenience of your kids. This is a big help to those parents who have very hectic working schedules.
