QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR PROSPECTIVE AMAZON MARKETING AGENCY Chances are, you're here because you're looking for an Amazon marketing services. And that's great - there are a lot of them out there, all vying for your business. So, how do you know which one to choose? How do you know if they're the right fit for your company? Well, start by asking them some questions. Questions that will help you get a sense of their capabilities, their experience and what they can do for your brand. Keep in mind that these questions are just a starting point - you'll want to ask other things too, once you've narrowed it down to a few finalists. But these should give you a good idea of whether or not they're worth considering. So, without further ado, here are a few questions to ask your prospective Amazon marketing agency. 1. What is your experience with Amazon? You want an agency that has experience with Amazon as a platform, obviously - but you also want to know their specific experience with the world's largest e-tailer. How long have they been doing business on Amazon? How many accounts do they manage? What kind of success have they seen? Keep in mind though, there really is no "best" amount of time or number of clients. Some agencies may be new and just starting out, while others may be part of large conglomerates that specialize in advertising across the web - so it all depends on what you're looking for and what fits best into your company's goals. 2. What strategies do you use? Different agencies have different specialties - some may be great at branding, while others may be more inclined toward high-level strategy and organization. Make sure they're on the same page as you when it comes to strategies - i.e., make sure their strategies fit with what your company is trying to accomplish. That way, everybody's on the same page and there are no miscommunications later on down the line. 3. Who will I be working with? This is a simple question that can shed a lot of light on how well an agency works (or doesn't). You want somebody that will work closely with you throughout this process - making sure that you remain up to date on every step of the process. Agencies with small teams may not be able to provide that kind of attention, which is why it's important that you do your research first and come armed with questions. That way, you can get a sense for how well they work - on an individual level as well as a team level. 4. How will you advertise on Amazon? You're looking for somebody who will hit the ground running when it comes to AMS campaigns - somebody who knows all of the ins and outs , including what AMS ads are best suited for your brand, what times of day work best, etc., etc. Different agencies have different specialties here too - some may focus on traditional media, while others may be better suited for digital campaigns. Look at their track record - it should tell you a lot about how well they know what they're doing. 5. Have you done this before?
Ideally, an agency will have experience with your exact product or niche - that way, they'll already have the tools and expertise to get the job done. Having said that though, don't disqualify agencies just because they've never worked in your field - just make sure you ask questions so you can get a sense of how much room there is for error.
