  • It is EPA Section 304,311 and 312 regulated because the pH is less than 2.0.

  • PROCEDURE
  • INTO THE FIRST OR SECOND WASH BOX A CONTINUOUS FEED OF ULTRA BIOCID IS INTRODUCED PLUS WASH WATER WHICH IS ALLOWED TO OVERFLOW. THE AMOUNT OF ULTRA BIOCID ADDED IS DETERMINED BY THE DESIRED FABRIC FINISH pH REQUIRED, THE MACHINE SPEED AND TO A LESSER DEGREE THE FABRIC WEIGHT.

AS AN EXAMPLE, MOST DENIM WILL REQUIRE AN ULTRA BIOCID ADJUSTED BATH pH OF APPROXIMATELY 1.5 – 2.0 @ A MACHINE SPEED OF 60 – 80 YPM

  • MAINTENANCE

IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT ALL PROCESS EQUIPMENT BE CLEANED AND RINSED FREE OF ANY RESIDUAL ULTRA BIOCID AFTER PROCESS IS COMPLETE SO AS NOT TO ALLOW DRIED SALTS TO REMAIN ON EQUIPMENT.

IF DRIED SALTS ARE EXPOSED TO HIGH TEMPERATURES OVER A SUSTAINED PERIOD OF TIME, THE POSSIBILITY OF CORROSION MAY OCCUR. SIMPLE CLEANING WITH WATER WILL ELIMINATE THIS POSSIBLE CONDITION SINCE THESE ACID SALTS WILL READILY DISSOLVE.

  • BECAUSE OF THE BUFFER DIFFERENCES, CUSTOMERS USUALLY ATTEMPT TO ADJUST ULTRA BIOCID BY ADDITIONAL STRENGTH CUTS WHICH WILL LEAD TO INCONSISTENT pH READINGS AND ERRONOUS RESULTS
