  1. WHAT MUST YOU KNOW ABOUT THE ON-X-AORTIC VALVE? ON-X-AORTIC VALVE is the new exolution of valves amongst Mechanical Heart Valve and Bioprosthetic Heart Valve. What makes it different from other artificial valves is its distinctive material and unique features. WHAT IS IT MADE OF? ON-X-AORTIC VALVE is a single valve that is made up of pure carbon. The pure carbon in it provides a more polished surface than any other artificial valve. The smoother surface is inversely proportional to blood clot which means the smoother the surface of the valve the less blood will clot on it.

  2. FEATURES: • Approved by FDA [FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION] and CE [ConformitéEuropéenne]. • ·      It reduces the chances of bleeding at a certain level. • ·      THROMBOEMBOLISM- no increment • ·      Requires the least WARFARIN.

  3. Also Read About: • WHAT CAUSES AN INCREASE IN INR LEVEL? • A BRIEF TALK ABOUT ATRIAL FIBRILLATION? • THROMBOPHILIA – A BRIEF EXPLANATION INR RANGE FOR ON-X-AORTIC VALVE After the valve surgery, patients are advised to maintain an INR range of 2-3 for the first three months.  After three months the INR range should be 1.5 – 2. Patients are advised to monitor their PT/INR levelregularly which is more convenient with PATIENT SELF TESTINGat home using a PT/INR meter.  It gives results in seconds and makes adjusting the doses of WARFARIN easier.

  4. WHO MANUFACTURES ON-X-AORTIC VALVE? The prime producer of ON-X-AORTIC VALVEis ON-X LIFE TECHNOLOGIES. They produce and supply all types of artificial valves and repair products worldwide. KEY BENEFITS: The major benefit of ON-X-AORTIC VALVE is that it reduces the effect of bleeding in a patient who undergoes surgery. The pure carbon in it does not allow the formation of a blood clot on the surface of the valve which makes it last for a lifetime. The Patients who have this kind of Valve require a lower amount of blood-thinning medication which means it is much safer with less WARFARIN. It is considered to be an improvement to other mechanical valves as it creates very little damage to the blood and blood vessels. It is enhances patient safety by reducing the bleeding process.
