  1. Being a student means limited budget, and a lot of frugality to go around. Lucky for students though, their are a lot of perks that only them get to enjoy. If you go to any university campus, you will come through a handy number of local businesses that offer a good discounts for students if they show their ID. Many large retailers offer a generous discount that varies between 10% – 25%.

Unfortunately, for students both small business owners, and large retailers fail to promote their discounts properly to students as a manner of fact it is hard for a student to find out if a store or website does actually offer a discount if they show their ID, or use their university email online.

  3. Well, if you happened to be a college student ( or have a student ID that works ), you can find out which store around you does offer a student discount and how much exactly they offering when you flash your University ID.

  4. StudentBaseCamp is a website that act as a locator for student discounts in U.S. with over 6000 local store.

  5. To locate a discount, visit the website and you may need to wait for few seconds for the map to load, you enter your zip code or address, choose a category, and any store under that category within x radius will show up.

  6. Once you enter that information, and click enter, the website will display for you the discounts :

  7. While the website has a big number of stores, it still covers a very small portion of the businesses that offer discounts in the U.S., it relay 100% on volunteers who add businesses information and businesses that submit their listing.

  8. This project is a non-profit website and relay on volunteers effort. It was launched in 2009 but a college student.
