Getting a customer to switch from credit-card payment to a less-costly automated clearinghouse (ACH) debit transaction can be tricky. One remedy is to make the process easier. What follows are the patented steps that Pat Lewis of KickBack Rewards Systems and Oasis Stop N Go, Twin Falls, Idaho, has initiated at his operations.

Step 1: Swipe It

The employee swipes the customer’s loyalty card.
