Beaches are anywhere where the sand and sea meet. What makes them beautiful is their picturesque view and not losing their naturality because of mass tourism. There’s just something about beaches that appeals to pretty much everyone. Spending a day will feel just like a few minutes. Here are locations that should definitely be on your bucket list if you are a beach lover. At Orbis Travels, we specialize in curating affordable beach holidays for couples, families, groups and even solo travellers.
Mallorca Caló des Moro Here's why the island is unique. • This may not be the most accessible beach, yet, tourists are drawn towards it. • Unlike others, this beach does not have lifeguards, beach bars, toilets. Just plain fun. • This Blue Flag beach is raw, natural, undeveloped and preserved for eternity.
Mallorca Sa Calobra Take the high road and enjoy the following features. • Instead of sand, this beach is filled with small pebbles and dramatic views. • The crystal-clear turquoise water swells with sea life surrounded by cliffs. • Torrent de Pareis, a canyon nearby, is also famous among hikers and cyclists.
Halkidiki Possidi Beach Apart from the beach, you can visit these nearby places too. • Old castle of Mende founded in the eighth century BC. • Temple of Poseidon, oldest sanctuaries in Greece. • The trademark of the village, a tall white lighthouse.
Halkidiki Platanitsi beach This Blue Flag beach is exceptionally beautiful. Here's why. • Very well managed with its umbrellas, taverns, sunbeds and water sports club! • Accessible for the disabled and supervision of lifeguards available. • It serves as a great place to go camping with your friends and families.
Croatia- Hvar Island Dubovica beach Do you need three reasons to visit this beach? Here they are. • The crystal clear blue sea. • The charming stone house. • The unique cosy beach bar.
Croatia- Hvar Island Beach Palmizana – Pakleni Islands Among the around 20 islets, this sandy beach, Palmizana, really caught my eye. • The Meneghello family created this rich hub for cultural tourism for family, lovers and pets! • The only commute is via water boats. So, no traffic, just footpaths and trails. • You will want to party your heart out during the events and find peace in the bays and coves.
Gibraltar Catalan Bay Here's why I would go there again. • This beach serves absolutely lip-smacking meals at affordable rates. • If you don't mind crowds and need a good swim, Catalan Bay is the place to be. • This is one of the few beaches that is preserved of its original authentic charm.
Gibraltar Sandy Bay Sandy Bay is just as fantastic for the following facts. • Sandy Bay beach was ‘built’ in only 2014. • 50,000 tons of sand was imported to recreate. • 2 groynes were constructed to prevent re-erosion.
Santorini Perivolos beach What makes this beach unique is the following fascinating facts. • The colour of the sand is black and not golden. • The sand is hotter in comparison to other beaches. • The sand doesn't stick to your wet body!
Santorini Vourvoulos beach A few reasons to visit this less famous beach are • To experience isolation and be with your thoughts • To take a break from your hectic routine and relax • To practice and enjoy privacy, being away from crowds
