  9. HISTORY Agriculture was introduced in 1922 in middle school classes. In addition to this, In 1953, agriculture course was introduced in intermediate classes as an optional subject. In 1955, an agriculture institute and research center was established at Vellayani, Thiruvananthapuram. And also, University has seven colleges and 15 research stations, six RARs, 16 research and extension units, etc. The seven colleges include four agricultural, one agricultural and engineering college, one forestry, one corporation banking, and one management.

  10. SCHOLARSHIPS Provision of financial assistance for the students who fall under the category of ‘Economically Weaker Section’. First of all, the students need to submit the required documents and after verification according to their family income, the annual fee is deducted by some percentages. However, students who belong to the SC/ST categories can avail the benefits of scholarships. Moreover, the process to get a scholarship is not that much complicated.

  11. INFRASTRUCTURE Library: The university central library has established in 1955 year. In addition to this, Kerala Agricultural University Library and Information System (KAULIS) includes University Central Library and seven college libraries and research stations. The library is an essential component for the university’s research and education mission as it has all the necessary facilities like chairs and tables with proper electricity, journals, newspapers, etc. In other words, it provides various references as well as textbooks. And also, the college has a fully facilitated and well-established library for the students where they can find various journals and books. In addition, it provides an atmosphere to the student where they can more concentrate on their studies.
