For example, the children go to bed every night at 7 pm, even on the weekend. A. I don’t like a routine. I don’t like to be a robot. Some days I get up at 6 am. On other days I get up at 8:30 am.   8. Family Routine Family routine is important. A routine is a plan to do things at certain times. Sunday evening, we plan for the week ahead. We have school-age children, so it gets busy. Monday morning, we, the parents, get up at 6:00 am to get ready for the day. certain: particular; sure to happen 1. ahead: forward in time 2. 5 busy: a lot of activity 3. We wake the kids at 7:00 am to eat breakfast. They need enough time to make their bed, brush their teeth, get dressed, and pack their backpacks.   10. Family Routine Everyone gets home before 5:00 pm. Most people in our country eat supper around 6:00 pm. We sit down and eat our evening meal together. It’s probably our favorite time of the day. We talk about the good, the bad, and the crazy things that happened. Our kids like to talk about their day at school.
