  2. Do you know what a corner kick is? Do you know what a penalty is? If not, then you might want to learn about the night glow football terms. Whether you're new to the game or just need a refresher, here are 10 football terms you need to know.

  3. 1. Kickoff: The kickoff is the start of the game and is done by a member of the kicking team, who tries to put the ball into the opponent's end zone. 2. Extra point: The extra point is the one point that is scored after a touchdown. 3. Field goal: A field goal is when a player kicks the ball through the uprights of the opponent's goal post, worth three points. 4. Interception: An interception is when a player catches a pass and then runs it back to the other team's end zone, worth six points.

  4. 5. Tackling: Tackling is when a player tries to bring down an opposing player with their hands or arms, while keeping their feet on the ground. 6. Touchback: A touchback is when a player on the kicking team catches a kickoff in their own end zone and then runs it back out to the other team's end zone. 7. Pass interference: Pass interference is when a player on the defending team touches a player on the opposing team who has the ball before the ball is touched by anyone else. 8. Offside: Offside is when a player from the kicking team enters the other team's end zone before the ball is kicked.

  6. 9. Onside kick: An onside kick is when a player on the kicking team kicks the ball while it's in play and it bounces off of another player and into the other team's end zone. 10. Fumble: A fumble is when a player drops the ball before they are touched by an opposing player, and it is then picked up by an opposing player and run back to their end zone.
