  1. How to Improve my Stamina after Quitting Smoking? There are many people who, after quitting smoking, come to terms with the harmful effects smoking has had on their bodies. The first and most damaging one is the effect it has on your stamina. It is a known fact that smokers suffer from fatigue. It can affect your stamina as well as your overall well-being. The best way to get your body back into shape is by working on your breathing and stamina. Here are the following ways by which you can easily improve your stamina and get healthier after quitting smoking. Diaphragmatic breathing: The first thing you want to focus on after quitting smoking is breathing. Your lungs have endured a lot during your time as a smoker, and now you need to help them heal and work as they did before. Diaphragmatic breathing is just breathing like you usually would but by taking in deep breaths. This will help you eliminate the remaining chemical from your lungs and bring your lungs back to a normal state.  Start slowly: After you work on your breathing, you will now have to work on your body. Months after quitting smoking, your body will have gotten lazy and unable to function as it should. Once your breathing is better, you need to improve the rest of your body via exercise. But keep it light. You cannot jump into any advanced plan of fitness and expect your body to follow. You need to start slow with some light workouts like running or jogging. Your body needs to get used to moving once again before you can work on a full-body fitness program.  Do cardio: Cardio is one of the best ways to improve stamina after quitting smoking. It also improves your breathing. This is a great way to get your body back in shape and working as 
