  1. OnPage SEO Check List

  2. There are many check points in SEO’s list but we are going to understand and discuss 11 points in this BLOG.

  3. 1. Keyword Research • Keyword research is the process of finding and analyzing words and phrases that people use in search engines like Google to find information, products, or services. It helps businesses and content creators understand their target audience's needs, develop content that aligns with their searches, and optimize their online presence to attract more traffic and rank higher in search results.

  4. 2. Title (60-65 Characters) • A website title, also known as a title tag, is the clickable headline in search engine results pages (SERPs), the name at the top of a browser tab, and a short summary of a page's content. It serves to inform users and search engines about the page's topic, influences their decision to click, and is a crucial factor for search engine optimization (SEO) • The title should not exceed more than 65 characters.

  5. 3. Meta Description (160-165 Characters) • A meta description is a short HTML tag providing a brief summary of a webpage's content that appears in search engine results pages (SERPs), below the page title. It serves as a preview to help users decide whether to click on the link. While not a direct ranking factor, a compelling meta description can increase click-through rates by accurately reflecting the page's content and including relevant keywords.

  6. 4. Robot Tags (NO Index / NO Follow) • In SEO, the robots meta tag is an HTML tag placed in a webpage's <head> section that provides instructions to search engine crawlers (like Googlebot) on how to crawl, index, and display the page's content. It allows for granular, page-specific control, telling bots whether to index a page, follow links on the page, or even to no index the page entirely, which prevents it from appearing in search results. This tag is a crucial tool for managing a website's SEO health by ensuring that only valuable content is presented to users and by preventing low-value pages from harming search rankings.

  7. 5. URL Optimization • URL optimization for SEO involves creating short, keyword-rich, and readable web addresses that benefit both users and search engines. Key practices include using lowercase letters, separating words with hyphens, including relevant keywords at the beginning, avoiding dynamic URLs and unnecessary parameters, and using HTTPS for security. A well-optimized URL accurately reflects page content, enhances user experience, and contributes to higher search engine rankings.

  8. 6. Anchor Text Optimization • Anchor text optimization is a crucial aspect of search engine optimization (SEO) that focuses on crafting effective and natural-looking anchor text for both internal and external links. The goal is to provide context to users and search engines about the linked content, while avoiding practices that could be perceived as manipulative or spammy.

  9. 7. Image Optimization • Image optimization is the process of reducing an image's file size without noticeably reducing its quality to improve website load times, user experience, and search engine rankings. Key techniques include compression (lossy or lossless), resizing, choosing the right file format (like JPEG, PNG, WebP, or SVG), lazy loading, and image caching.

  10. 8. Heading Tag Optimization (H1-H6) • Heading tag optimization for SEO involves using the H1 tag for a unique, keyword-rich page title, creating a logical hierarchy with H2, H3 tags, and so on, to structure content for both users and search engines. Ensure headings are descriptive, keyword-rich but natural, relevant to the content, and follow a consistent structure to improve user experience and search engine understanding of your page's topic and subtopics.

  11. 9. Loading Speed Optimization • Loading speed optimization is the process of enhancing website performance to reduce page load times, improving user experience and search engine rankings. Key strategies include optimizing images, minifying and compressing code (CSS, JavaScript, HTML), enabling browser caching, using a Content Delivery Network (CDN), and implementing lazy loading for non-critical content. Regularly testing site speed with tools like Google Page Speed Insights is crucial to identify areas for improvement and maintain optimal performance.

  12. 10. Schema Markup Code • Schema markup code, also known as structured data, is a type of code you add to your website to help search engines understand its content more effectively and provide richer search results, like star ratings or prices, in a format known as rich snippets. This code uses tags from Schema.org to clarify the meaning of different elements on a page, such as a product, a recipe, or an event, and can improve user experience by making information more accessible in search results.

  13. 11. Largest Contentful Paint LCP • In SEO, LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) is a Google Core Web Vital metric that measures the time it takes for the largest visible element (like an image, video, or text block) to render and load in a user's browser viewport. A faster LCP score (2.5 seconds or less) indicates a better loading speed and user experience, which contributes to higher search engine rankings and better SEO performance.
