Do I require a prescription from my physician in order to attend physical therapy

NO! You can now call to make an appointment with a physical therapy falls church without needing a prescription from your doctor because you have what we call "direct access" to our services. We do ask that you see your gynecologist before beginning physical therapy if you have never had a gynecological exam. This is the only exception to the rule. We may request that you speak with a proctologist or urologist before any internal examination of pelvic organ prolapse or if you are male seeking treatment. 2. Through the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems, pelvic Virginia physical therapy (PT) treats bowel, bladder, pelvic pain relief, and sexual dysfunction. That basically means that a bowl-shaped collection of muscles between your hips supports your organs, including your bladder, rectum, and uterus, if you have one. Numerous issues can arise with those muscles and the nerves that supply them, and when the muscles and nerves aren't functioning properly, other things may also start to act strangely. Muscles can struggle to perform their duties properly if they are too tight, too weak, in spasms, or covered in scar tissue. What is Physical Therapy for the Pelvic Floor?
