  2. INCREDIBLE HARIDWAR Today, it is counted as the most religious spot in India which has gained the highest tourism. One of the most traditional festivals, celebrated in Haridwar is Kumbha Mela which takes place in twelve years. The Ardh Kumbh Mela, which happens every six months, is also a part of the actual Kumbh Mela.

  3. On the Ghats, one can be amazed at the plenty of flowers and Diyas (lighted lamps) floating in the water of the Ganga at the time of sunset. Other than that, Haridwar has a lot to explore like the famous Hari-ki-Pairi, the most popular bathing Ghats in Haridwar. During Maha Kumbh, a large number of devotees, an estimated 45 million people come here to take a bath in the pure water of the Ghats. It is believed that its pristine water will definitely wash all the sins of the people.

There is a VedMandir Museum in this institution that has a huge display of a fine collection of artifacts and archaeological objects. If you have a keen interest in watching birds, you must visit Neel DharaPakshiVihar which is dotted with a number of migratory birds. During winters, one can have a look at a Siberian Crane, an exotic type of bird that is rarely found in other parts of India Holidays.
