  1. Perfumes simplified - All you need to know about Fragrance Concentrations! Fragrances are made of oil or wax-based aromatic essences mixed with alcohol or other fixatives and are sometimes marketed in their purest form for strong scent and longevity. Based on the amount of fragrance, the perfumes are classified into Parfum Extrait de Parfum is the highest concentrated and the most expensive form of fragrance available, with 20-40% of fragrance oil. It has a strong long-lasting scent with a strong sillage. Eau de Parfum Eau de Parfum is the most common fragrance concentration with 15 - 20% fragrance in fixatives. Edp lasts for eight to ten hours on your skin and clothes. Eau de Toilette Eau de Toilette is a midler fragrance with a percentage of 5 - 15% and lasts for a minimum of four hours on your skin (when the weather is pleasant). EDT variants are cheaper than Eau de Parfums and Parfums and have less projection. Eau de Cologne Colognes are made of 2-8% of fragrance and evaporate rather quickly. These are much more intimate in scent and have a soft sillage if anything. Men prefer colognes for their calmer and milder scent profile. Viole Viole is a non-alcoholic and non-flammable counterpart of fragrances. Body mists, face mists, and fragrance splashes use less than 6% of perfume in aerosol or water. These are perfect for cold weather. Eau Fraiche This is the mildest version of fragrances with a refreshing scent that is created using less than 2% fragrance in water - Something to freshen you up with a scent that lingers around for an hour or two at most. Hope you enjoyed learning about fragrance concentrations. Most Ajmal Perfumes are Eaux de Parfum, Eaux de Cologne, and Concentrated perfume oils (Parfums).
