Case Study: Robert Jones Review the “Robert Jones “case study from Chapter 4 of your course text. Review the diagnosis of the case, using the five axis of the DSM-IV-TR, which are provided for you in Part I. Write a justification of the diagnoses as outlined in Part II and a case formulation as outlined in Part III. The paper should be two to three pages in length (excluding title and reference pages). Utilize at least two peer-reviewed articles that were published within the past five years from the Ashford University Library. Your paper and sources must use APA format as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center. Part I: DSM-IV-TR Diagnosis Axis I: Alcohol Dependence with Physiological Dependence Axis II: None Axis III: None Axis IV: Marital problems and legal involvement Axis V: 70 during his time of dysfunction Part II: Justification of Diagnoses Explain the diagnosis on each the five axes from Part I. Specifically, list the symptoms the person has that align with the symptoms that are required for diagnosis of the disorder in the DSM-IV-TR. Discuss other diagnoses you could consider and explain why you eliminated them. Support your argument with examples from your sources. Part III: Writing the Case Formulation A case formulation is an explanation of how a person's problems developed, according to a particular theory. Select one of the major theories discussed in Week One of the course (e.g., psychoanalytic, humanistic, behavioral) to explain the formulation of Robert Jones’ case. The formulation should incorporate significant concepts from the selected theory and appropriate supporting details from the individual’s case history. Support your argument with examples from your sources. Carefully review the Grading Rubric for the criteria that will be used to evaluate your assignment.
