  1. Ganesh Chaturthi is almost around the corner and most of you have already started your preparation to make this year’s celebration more grand and resplendent. Most of the pandal committees may have already arranged all the pandal decorations and ordered POP made Ganesh idols too. If you don't fall into that category, let’s make a unique plan this year.

  2. As per the records of WHO, 21 out of 30 most polluted cities of the world are in India. Think of the level of pollution and you will be awe-struck. If you want to show the path to the others and act like a responsible person who cares for the environment, then let’s celebrate this Ganesh Chaturthi in a way that is environmentally benign and that is through the initiation of eco-friendly Ganesh murti. The following part of the article will give you some ideas about how to embark on that journey. 1. Clay Ganesha Let’s reinstate our old tradition by discarding POP based idols and accepting Ganesha idols that are made out of clay only. On top of that, relinquishing synthetic color for the painting purpose and using organic colors made from turmeric, and green herbs should be the next vital step. Clay Ganesha can reduce the contamination and make this process more eco-friendly. 2. Chocolate Let’s uniqueness shows its exemplary efficiency through a novel idea that uses chocolates as the rudimentary items to make eco-friendly Ganesha. Chocolates are dearest to everyone’s heart and Lord Ganesha wouldn’t mind if you distribute him among children. 3. Betel leaves For domestic idols, betel leaves stand out to be the most quirky idea as it is widely available in every shop and also extremely easy to make. Elderly people in your house are fond of these betel leaves. So, after the Puja, you can distribute those leaves among them too.
