The festival takes place from the 16th to the 18th of August every year on the high-altitude meadows of Dayara Bugyal. It is a means to express gratitude to Mother Nature for providing food and safety to their cattle. Butter and milk are smeared on each other and people sing and dance to the tunes of Dhol Damau. Cultural programs and folk dances are organized by the locals.
