Laparoscopic Splenectomy

The first laparoscopic splenectomy was performed by Delaitre<br>and Maignen in 1991. In 1992, Carrol, Philips, Semal, Fellas<br>and Morgenstern of Cedars-Sinai medical center reported<br>three cases of successful laparoscopic splenectomy. The<br>first laparoscopic splenectomy in children was performed<br>in 1993 by Tulman.<br>
