  2. Wizz Air is established in Budapest and is well known for its low flying costs. Wizz Air, which was established in May 2004 and mostly serves secondary airports, is constantly looking for new methods to expand its network, reach untapped markets, serve a variety of locations, and offer inexpensive air travel to and from Central and Eastern Europe. The airline operates over 600 routes between major cities in Europe and a few Middle Eastern and North African countries. They have 119 modern Airbus A320 family aircraft in their fleet. Because to its up-to-date and reasonably priced fleet, Wizz Air was named one of the top 10 safest low-cost carriers in 2019.

Below are the major highlights of the Wizz Air Cancellation Policy. • The cancellation charges for voluntary cancellations will depend on how soon you cancel your flight: • If you cancel your flight more than 14 days before departure, a ‎€65 fee will be charged per passenger per flight in addition to the deduction of your Wizz Discount Club benefits. • If you cancel your flight within 14 days of departure, a seat protection fee of ‎€85 per passenger per flight will be charged in addition to your Wizz Discount Club benefits and Other Services. • You can cancel a Wizz Air flight till 3 hours before its scheduled departure time. • One-way reservations must be cancelled at least 3 hours before the scheduled departure time. • Two-way reservations involving a return flight must be cancelled before the first flight’s departure. Cancelling online will result in the cancellation of both flights. Online cancellation cannot be made after the first flight has departed.

  4. You can cancel and fully refund your flight without penalty if Wizz Air: • Changes your flight route and/or scheduled times, fails to stop at an agreed stopping point, or adds a new stopping point, and • Is unable to book you on an alternative flight acceptable to you • If a flight on which you hold a confirmed seat is cancelled by Wizz Air, you have the option to: • Obtain a full refund of your ticket, or • Take the next available flight to your destination at no additional charge(any excess balance in your favor will be refunded after you inform Wizz Air) • If your Wizz Air flight is delayed by more than 5 hours, you have the option to: • Obtain a refund for your ticket • Either a full refund to your original payment method, or • The full value of your fare + 20% in the form of Wizz Credits for future travel • Take the next available flight to your destination at no additional charge(any excess balance in your favor will be refunded after you inform Wizz Air)

If your Wizz Air flight’s schedule is changed, you can: • Ask for a refund of your ticket • Either a 100% refund to your original payment method, or • The full value of your fare + 20% in the form of Wizz Credits for future travel • Take the next available flight to your destination at no additional charge(any excess balance in your favor will be refunded after you inform Wizz Air) • If you purchase a Plus Fare ticket or make a booking with Wizz Flex, you can cancel (or change) it without penalty and receive a full refund in your Wizz account.

The Wizz Air ticket cancellation policy allows you to cancel your flight: • By phone (call 1-844-933-2065 via this official website Wizz Air.) • Online via Manage My Booking after logging in to your account • Through a Wizz Air ticket counter (city/airport) • Through your travel agent

  7. Wizz Air Cancellation Fee According to the Wizz cancellation policy, your cancellation fee will depend on your fare type and when you cancel your ticket—14-plus days before departure or within 14 days of departure. The cancellation fees per passenger per flight are as follows:

Wizz Air Cancelled Flight Policy According to the Wizz Air cancelled flight policy, if Wizz Air cancels a flight on which you hold a confirmed reservation, you are within your rights to: • Ask for a full, penalty-free refund, or • Travel to your destination at no additional charge on the next available flight(any balance due to you will be refunded after you request Wizz Air) In addition to the above-mentioned options, Wizz Air will: • Arrange 2 telephone calls/fax/email for you free of charge, or • Reimburse the cost of communications If you choose to take the alternative flight departing the next day, Wizz Air will arrange free hotel accommodation plus transportation from the airport to the hotel and back. If Wizz Air is unable to do so, you will be reimbursed for meals, hotel accommodation, and transportation provided they are within reasonable limits and you present valid invoices for the costs incurred by you.

  9. Wizz Air Refund Policy • Unless stated otherwise, all fares, taxes, fees, charges, and other services are non-refundable. • Some refundable fares to/from certain destinations may be available only via the Call Center and not the website. • Wizz Air refunds will be paid to the reserver, i.e., the person who paid for the ticket, upon the presentation of the reservation code and any other relevant documentation. • Most refunds are typically processed within 10 business days after you apply. • In most cases, the refund will be paid in the currency in which the ticket was purchased. If that’s not possible, the payment will be made in euros. • The following service fees are non-refundable: • The service fee for Wizz Flex • The Wizz Discount Club membership fee/Privilege Pass fee booked with either. • For cancelling third-party services such as airport transfer, Insurance, etc.), the refund policies of the third party will apply. • Refunds for cancelled bookings will be made to your Wizz account within 72 hours, regardless of how many passengers are on your booking. However, if you cancel a booking with the WIZZ Flex service, the refund amount cannot be refunded to the credit card or bank account through which it was originally paid. You must book a new flight within 90 days from the date of refund, but the travel date can be later. • For refunds relating to tickets purchased through travel agents, you must contact the travel agent directly.

  10. Wizz Air Cancelled Flight Compensation The Wizz Air flight compensation for cancelled flights will depend on the length of your flight’s route and the delay in the scheduled arrival of the alternative flight offered to you and your original flight, as shown in the table below.

  11. Exceptions. You will not be entitled to any compensation if you were notified about the cancellation: • At least 2 weeks before your flight’s scheduled departure time (STD). • Between 2 weeks and 7 days before your flight’s scheduled departure time and you were offered an alternative flight departing within 2 hours before the STD and arriving within 4 hours after the scheduled time of arrival (STA). • Less than 7 days before STD and you are offered an alternative flight departing within 1 hour before the STD and arriving within 2 hours after the scheduled time of arrival. You will also not be entitled to compensation if your flight was cancelled due to extraordinary circumstances that could not have been avoided even after taking all reasonable measures. Extraordinary circumstances include, but are not limited to bad weather, air traffic control, security reasons, civil unrest, acts of God, terrorist alerts, security concerns, etc.

  12. When requesting compensation, the following terms and conditions will apply: • You can request compensation (only for yourself) if: • You have reserved the ticket, and • Have a Wizz account, and • Are listed in the booking as a passenger • If you choose to receive compensation in the form of Wizz Air credit: • It will be treated as a full and final settlement of your claim under EC Regulation No. 261 with Wizz Air for the specified flight in your reservation. • You will receive the credit to your account at the full value of the compensation plus 20%. For example, if you’re entitled to receive compensation of EUR 400, then you will receive a credit of EUR 480 to your Wizz account. • All future credits will also be credited to your Wizz account. • You must complete all sections of the claim form.
