2. Who are ambitious
Who want to prepare well and have easy and stress free recall during examinations
Who are looking out for maximum returns for their efforts
Who are looking for greater emotional stability in life
Who desire to learn how to positively program their subconscious mind for desired results
3. In order to achieve resounding success in your examinations, you need to
Know your matter
Recall it appropriately
Present it skillfully
4. Did You Know? Most students have the same memory capacity but it is the ability to recall stored information which determines success in your examinations.
5. Did You Know That Effective Recall Depends Upon Stress free state of mind…(try and search for a lost key when you are stressed out…)
Your liking towards the matter (you may not be able to recall the facts and figures of national history but you will have perfect recall of cricket scores if you are passionate about the game.)
Associations that you form (You tend to remember the subject matter taught by your favorite teacher)
Rhyming words (as in a song or a poetry)
Things which appear to be larger then life, unusual and humorous
Human needs - the most important being survival (e.g. you may forget trivial instructions about the future but if it is a question of one’s life and death, you will rarely forget)
6. Your Mind You have been using less then 10% of your mind so far…
To make the best out of your mind and enhance your recall capacity, you need to understand how your mind functions, therefore -
We present…
7. Theory of Mind Based on the research work done by Dr. John F Kappas (U.S.A.)
8. Theory of Mind Mind is a field of energy
Exists all around you
Is divided in 2 parts
9. Theory of Mind
10. Interestingly… The conscious mind available to us when we are awake is the much smaller aspect of the total mind.
The subconscious mind, more powerful compared to our conscious mind, remains unavailable to our awareness when we are awake.
To succeed in life we need to know and learn how to access the sub-conscious mind in a conscious manner and to do this, we need to have a well rehearsed, practical approach towards the mind.
11. When we are born
12. Mind
13. Can you look to the right of this screen? The question was asked to draw your attention to the way our mind functions. Like most individuals, you have inferred that I want you to have a look at the right side of the screen.
Well, the question asked was very simple, “Can you look to the right of the screen?” and your mental answer could be “yes” or “no”
But this is how our mind functions; all information that we take in goes through certain amount of inferences and distortions depending upon our past experiences and conditionings.
If you have been conditioned that mathematics is a very difficult subject, you will naturally make it more difficult without even realizing it.
14. Can you look to the right of this screen?
Did you infer that I want you to look at the right side of the screen? (don’t worry that is how most of us are pre-conditioned to think.)
Or your answer was simply YES or a NO (if you note my question was very simple, (can you look to the right of the screen?)
The point being that all information taken in through our mind goes
through certain amount of inferences and distortions, depending upon our
past experiences and conditionings.
Similarly, recall goes through pre-conditioned obstructions based on Past
programming and unpleasant associations
15. The Art of Information Storage Our subconscious mind is like any other storage unit
Once we decide about the content of storage, we tend to neatly club information and store it in respective folders
There are folders for interesting topics and un-interesting topics.
There are folders of positive experiences and negative experiences.
That is why when you think of one negative experience, many past negative experiences come to your mind
The same is true for subject matter. While studying if you create positive associations in grouping information so that it is neatly stored in your subconscious mind then easy recall is facilitated.
Mind programming during sleep (our subconscious mind is alert during the sleep. Make the maximum use of this fact)
16. Recall Too many message units can clog the critical filter
Usually happens when we are stressed, worried, or have a great amount of distracting information coming to our mind from various sources
E.g. Unable to recall familiar information when we are very tense
The clearer the critical filter, the better is the memory recall
