Y1/2 Mixed Age Planning - process • Referred to Y2 objectives blocked in the renewed framework unit • Used Y1 core learning by year group and matched relevant strand objectives either from the book or the library. • Modified the suggested timescale • Condensed the phases into a 2 week unit which can be repeated later in the year • Aspects not covered in detail in the first unit will be addressed when repeated

Mixed age planning – Key messages • Select the text form from one of the year groups • Use the strand objectives from across the year groups to meet the needs of the pupils (particularly the sentence strand 11) • Refer to the progression documents in the library on the Website/DVD. • Continue to use current planning and support with the suggested teaching sequences where appropriate
