Business Services Computingsupports Business Services and other customers by partnering with them to achieve their organizational objectives BSC staff provide production support for the OnePurdue SAP system, and assist in the identification and implementation of new or enhanced systems in collaboration with end users and ITaP staff.  We maintain a stable workstation environment and replace equipment or update software as needed.  Staff facilitate training and communication, provide web publishing management, develop applications, and assist in data management.

  4. Managers • Develop plans for modifying/supporting systems • Coordinate implementation of new systems • Provide consultation or serve as resource for new systems or changes to systems • Assist with Special Projects as Leader, Steering Committee, etc.

Computing Zone for HR/Financial areas Responsible for maintaining the computing needs for: • Accounting Services • Budget & Fiscal Planning • Business Services Computing • Comptroller • Costing • Director of Business Managers / FREH Operations • Disbursements • Human Resource Services • Internal Audit • Investments • Purchasing Services • Risk Management • Sponsored Program Services • Treasury Operations • Vice President for Business Services

  7. Zone Supports • 330 + Customers / Workstations • 5 different buildings (FREH, YONG, HOVD, EAP, Purdue West) • Laptops • Printers • Training Facility (BSTR) with 13 stations • Standard core set of applications • Many additional applications to meet customer needs http://www.purdue.edu/hrfzone/

  8. Training and Communications • Develop and deliver training • Publish Business @ Purdue News • Coordinate New Employee Orientation • Manage Business @ Purdue (process and procedures web site)

Data Steward Stewards manage administrative data as a University resource and asset. • Promote University Data Asset Reusability and Accessibility • Encourage the Use of Data Standards • Ensure Training of Staff on Proper Use of Data • Promote and Improve Data Quality • Encourage Data and Database Consistency Across the University
