SWOT Analysis Opportunities • Create a new public place linking old Årsta torg to Valla torg • Generating new identity for southern area by densifying and promoting streets Strengths Strong sense of belonging to the place among people in Årsta A mixture of people with different economy level Weaknesses • Ambiguity of public and private in Sandsfjärgatan • Lack of family houses in Årsta • Weak idenety of public places Threats • To demote the existing identity of Årsta

Plan proposal Roundabout is promoted to a square surrounded by mix-use buildings New blocks defines the street and inner courtyards new plaza for Årsta and Valla A new tram-street with shops in ground floors SEC 1 SEC 2 Relocate the existing street closer to houses Transform existing undefined greeneries to elaborated local parks Tram stop bridges between Årsta and Enskede gård: an internal public place
