2. Syringe infusion pump is widely used in various sectors of the medical industry such as clinics, nursing homes, hospitals and other medical facilities. This pump is used for applications such as delivering fluids, medications and nutrients to patient’s body in a controlled amount. These devices are largely preferred in medical industries due to its ability to deliver medication in small as well as large volumes. Some infusion pumps are capable of delivering medication to the patients at automated intervals. There are different ways in which these infusion pumps are used. They are used intravenously, subcutaneously, through arteries, epidural etc. In intravenous method, the medications or nutrients are delivered to the patients directly through the vein. Infusion pumps have evolved the process of fluid transfer between patient’s body and the medication container. These pumps are required for many cases where proper administration of fluid transfer is required, because if done manually in such cases, then it can result in consequences.
