  3. The Issue • Households- “Home Cooking” vs. Eating Out • Convenience vs. Health- Time is money, money is time • Transition- cheap and easy to cheap and healthy

  4. Percent Total Revenue Per Restaurant for the Years 1997-2006 in the US for McDonald’s and Panera Bread Company

  5. Total Calories in Menu Items for McDonald’s and Panera Bread Company

  6. Percentage revenue per capita per restaurant has increased for McDonald’s since the addition of a healthier menu, whereas percentage revenue per capita per restaurant for Panera Bread, which has a healthy menu, has remained constant.
