  1. HOW TO STORE FREQUENTLY USED SPICES? You can keep a small batch of repeatedly used Indian spices in the traditional masala dabba. After use, store the masala dabba the same way in a dark corner off from the heat. The traditional masala dabba has 2 lids on it. One lid is to keep the box closed and the different one is to keep the flavors complete. The alternate lid is only removed when using the spices. The masala dabba is also called the Indian spice box. It is accessible and habituated everyday in Indian homes.

  2. HOW TO STORE INDIAN SPICES IN BULK? Whether it's based or buy bulk spices online, they can be stored in glass, plastic or matter airtight jars. Store masala powder at a temperature between 50oF to 60o F (10oC – 15oC). altitudinous temperatures can make the powder harden, cutlet or lose color. Immaculately, no masala powder should be stored for further than 9 months as the flavors tend to accept and fade down. Still, you can store the masalas in your freezer, If you want to reposit it for longer than 9 months. Make sure that the packaging is an Air tight Container, else it can trap moisture.

  4. HOW TO STORE MASALA OR SPICE PACKETS? Still, the fridge is the best place to observe your packed spices (not the opened ones), If you can. It keeps the spices fresh and flavors complete. But immaculately it isn't possible to have all your spices stored in the fridge as they would take a lot of space. You can keep the favorite ones in the fridge if that plant or can keep all the packets in a kitchen or press corner where heat, light and humidity ca n’t reach. I generally keep all my spice or masala packets in a dark closet corner in my kitchen.

  5. HOW TO STORE DRY MASALAS? Dry masalas should be kept in a dense holder out from moistness. They can be stored in a dark, dry place in the kitchen. If you want to keep dry masalas in the fridge to maintain their newness also make sure the masala is packaged in a close packaging. Small opened packets of dry masalas shouldn't be kept in the fridge as they tend to absorb humidity and loose flavor.
