Here are the key things that you need to consider: Hub Location You can choose from a front-hub, rear-hub, and the friction drive kits. For a cheap option, you should go with a front-hub bicycle motor kit for conversion. You can install them on your own. Then there rear hub kits which can help you get a better balance.

  3. Battery Voltage- You can easily find the voltage capacity ranging from 12V to 72V. A higher voltage means you will have high power and speed of the new bike. For shorter distances, a 24V battery is sufficient. However, for long distances, batteries with more voltage are better. Amps- It refers to the capacity of the bike and relates to the kilometers that you may ride with a single charge. 10Ah is common.
