  2. What is the B58 downpipe? The B58 is one of significant BMW's modular engine families replacing the previous N55 engines. Its production started in 2015 became one of the Ward's 10 best engines in 2016, installed in 340i, 2017 installed in M240i, 2019 in X5, and 2020 in M340i. Only the best B58 downpipe enhances their performance in these world-class BMW series. The downpipes, also known as "decatilizers," fit between exhaust and turbine to give many advantages.

Advantages of BMW m140i downpipe • By mapping with the ECU, the m140i downpipe provides more power to the B58 engine even without much stress on it. • Can increase the power to 5 or 6% with the open B58 downpipe even with no need to increase injector pressure or turbine. • Apart from rising power and torque, it offers a better throttle response as the exhaust gases flow fast because of no blocking by the catalysts suffocating the passage. • Reduces the overheating of the turbine and guarantees low temperature of the exhaust gases for  less concentration close to the turbocharger to decrease backpressure.
