  2. EL CHAKU DE VICUÑA ES UNA PRÁCTICA ANCESTRAL QUE CONSISTE EN EL ENCIERRO, CAPTURA, ESQUILA Y POSTERIOR LIBERACIÓN DE VICUÑAS. ESTA PRÁCTICA SE HACE DE FROMA CONJUNTA

  3. EN TIEMPOS PASADOS, LA VICUÑA, ANIMAL SILVESTRE, FUE FUNDAMENTAL PARA QUE LOS PUEBLOS INDÍGENAS PUDIESEN SOBRE VIVIR EN LA PUNA

  4. SU CARNE ERA UTILIZADA PARA EL CONSUMO Y SU FIBRA PARA LA CONFECCIÓN DE TEJIDOS E HILADOS.

  5. ACTUALMENTE, ESTA COSTUMBRE CONTINUA: UN GRUPO DE PERSONAS RODEA A LAS VICUÑAS, FORMANDO UN “CORDÓN HUMANO” PARA ARREARLAS HACIA CORRALES. CADA INTEGRANTE DEBE ESTAR ATENTO PORQUE SI “ROMPEN EL CORDÓN”, ALGUNAS VICUÑAS PODÍAN ESCAPAR Y EL TRABAJO SE ECHARÍA A PERDER.
