1. A PARTIAL GUIDE TO MCFRS SAFE STRUCTURAL FIREFIGHTING POLICY SECTION VRIT AIR SUPPLY BAG ASSEMBLY
2. OBJECTIVES The student will be able to:
Properly assemble all primary components of the Scott RIT air pack and RIT air supply bag
Identify the areas of the Scott RIT air pack most susceptible to damage
3. RIT Air Supply Bag Begin with all the pieces laid out on the ground.
4. RIT Air Supply Bag Feed the low pressure line and the trans-fill whip into the bottom of the bag.
5. RIT Air Supply Bag Continue to feed the two lines through the netting in the bag and out the opposite side
6. RIT Air Supply Bag This is what the bag should now look like.
7. RIT Air Supply Bag Next slide in the SCBA cylinder. The cylinder stem should be at the bottom of the bag.
8. RIT Air Supply Bag Connect the single stage reducer to the RIT Air cylinder and tighten.
9. RIT Air Supply Bag This is how it looks from above.
10. RIT Air Supply Bag Cinch down the draw string for the bottom of the bag.
11. RIT Air Supply Bag Coil the low pressure line and the trans-fill whip…tuck them into the top of the bag.

Tuck the face piece with the regulator attached into the top. The regulator is not attached to anything other than the face piece.
13. RIT Air Supply Bag Pull the top flap over. Connect the Velcro and the seat belt buckle.
Your bag is now ready for use.
14. The single stage reducer is unprotected… do not drop the bag. RIT Air Supply Bag
15. When the bag is charged with air the user must be careful to not accidentally pull the collar back on the male portion of the dual EBSS. It will leak air. RIT Air Supply Bag
16. Pay attention to the cylinder valve. It is possible to turn it on or off inadvertently while dragging it about. RIT Air Supply Bag
17. The Cylinder Yoke is also a weak point…again Do Not Drop On This End. RIT Air Supply Bag
18. The face piece mounted regulator is attached to the face piece and that unit is place into the bag
19. There are many reasons for not attaching the face piece or regulator to anything including:
If the face piece and regulator are attached to the air supply and the supply is charged an open donning switch or purge valve will leak. RIT Air Supply Bag
