  8. Product Overview Product of Interest: UPS Online UPS has a double conversion power circuit with an inverter. These systems are used to provide continuous power supply to equipment. During load shed or blackouts, the supply is automatically switched to battery mode without any delay. Benefits of using an online UPS system are that it provides the highest level of protection from all types of power problems such as high voltage surges, frequency variation, etc. It is mainly used in IT/ITES industry, offices, banks, etc Offline UPS: It consists of an AC/DC & DC/AC inverter with a battery, switch, low pass filter and a surge suppressor. It is also called standby UPS. The system becomes operational by setting AC input as a primary source. Inverter remains on standby and becomes active only when power fails, and transfer switch transfers electrical load to the backup unit.
