Likely Futures for Place-Displaced Work • Growth overall, in place-displaced work as telecommunications services become faster, cheaper, and more broadly available • Development of legislation specific to teleworkers re. children, ex-nationals, working conditions, wage floors, benefits • Strengthening of personal retirement provision laws and terms • Acceleration of growth in developed nations • Growing strength of professional associations (National Society of Professional Engineers, for example) • Smaller corporations
