Symptoms may be less severe than MDD, but they are longer-lasting, often resulting in chronic low mood, low energy, and decreased self-esteem. Treatment may include therapy, medication, or a combination of both. 3.Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that occurs seasonally, typically in the fall and winter months when there is less daylight. Symptoms may include low mood, fatigue, and increased appetite. Treatment may include light therapy, where individuals are exposed to bright light to help regulate their circadian rhythms. 4.Bipolar Disorder is a mood disorder characterized by episodes of mania or hypomania, as well as episodes of depression. During a manic episode, individuals may feel elated, have increased energy, and engage in risky behaviors. Treatment for bipolar disorder may include medication and therapy.
