  3. WHAT IS A SCANTRON TEST? Scantron is a type of standardized testing methodology that uses Optical Mark Recognition (OMR), whereby light coming from a scanner recognizes where dark marks were made on a sheet of paper. Students are provided with a sheet of paper with four or five bubbles per question.

  4. WHAT DOES THE WORD SCANTRON MEAN? The default scoring is 1 point per 1 correctly answered question. These are the other scoring options: Making multiple answers correct. Designating that multiple answers must all be chosen to be correct. How long does Scantron take? The scans normally take about 20-30 minutes, and can be done any time the machine is available.
