INTRODUCATION The Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) is an English Language Proficiency Test accepted by several governments, professional organizations, universities, colleges, and employers as proof of English language proficiency. The test provides a valid and reliable measurement of a test taker’s English abilities in different situations, such as communicating with co-workers and superiors in the workplace, interacting with friends, understanding newscasts, and interpreting and responding to written materials. CELPIP is a 100% Canadian-based English exam that is entirely computer-based.

  3. HOW IS THE CELPIP TEST DONE? CELPIP components: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. CELPIP LS consists of only Listening and Speaking. How long does a CELPIP test take to complete? CELPIP - General total test time is about 3 hours and is done in one sitting. - General test consists of 4

  4. WHAT IS THE PASSING SCORE FOR CELPIP? To achieve Citizenship, you will need a score of 4 or higher (up to 12) in both Listening & Speaking in the CELPIP LS test.
